The Council is working with its consultants and advisers toprovide the information required by Wealden District Council to meet theconditions imposed as part of the planning permission. This includes a new drawing showing thearrangements for disposal of foul and surface water drainage. Potentially the run-off from the allotmentscould be considerable and the first proposal which was drawn up involving hugesoakaways was found to be extremely expensive so alternative methods are beinginvestigated. We now have the necessaryinformation to meet the other conditions.
As soon as all the documents are agreed and finalised, theywill be submitted to Wealden for approval.
We are sorry that our anticipated timescale for the site andparticularly the allotments have been exceeded but the planning process hasbeen much more protracted and complicated than we hoped. As soon as there is progress to report, afurther update will be posted on the website.
