Tree Inspections

  • As recommended, all Parish-managed areas are surveyed by a qualified arboriculturist at least once every 3 years (some more frequently).
  • Our grounds maintenance contractor also carries out a visual inspection once a year and reports any concerns.

Tree Works

The Parish Council will only carry out work on trees that are:

  • Dead
  • Dying
  • Dangerous

All work is undertaken by a qualified tree surgeon. Anyone undertaking work to a Parish Council tree that overhangs their garden, will be liable if the work that has been done makes the tree unstable.

All trees with a tree preservation order on them will require permission from Wealden District Council for any work to be undertaken to them.  Please contact WDC via Wealden District Council, tel. 01323 443322 regarding TPOs, including if there is a TPO on a tree.
