Following on after Easter, Heathfield moves into a time of Celebration as it joins with the nation in celebrating 80 years following the cessation of war across Europe in 1945.
FASCOH has joined with the Heathfield & Waldron Parish Council and Heathfield & District Bonfire Society in enabling through different programmes to, not only celebrate, but also to remember those who gave their lives to bring freedom to our nation. The Celebrations commence on Saturday 3rd May at the Heathfield Community Centre followed by a four day programme centred around THE SPACE at All Saints’ Church, the Cade Street Memorial and the lighting of the Beacon on the Cade Street Recreation Ground on Thursday 8th May 2025.
On Friday 9th a 3-day programme of various activities for young people commence alongside an exhibition of memorabilia, including an exhibition by ‘Hands on History’. We do hope you will visit The SPACE at All Saints’ Church and take the opportunity to also see the completion of the major re-decoration undertaken over the past 3 months.
